If you, or anybody you know is considering the purchase of a vehicle identified as
B382000526 LRXFE, be aware it carries a COUNTERFEIT chassis tag.
The information on the plate does not match the "factory" record for that car and the JAL tag mounted to the cowling is also not a match.  I've included a comparison insert showing a genuine Sunbeam Tiger chassis plate above the forgery.  The initial photo of these rough elements was tendered to TIROST on 8/02/2001.  Since then the car has changed hands and has been offered at least once (8/07) on eBay.    Thankfully, that listing was terminated before running its course.  I would however, not be surprised to see it come up again.  Regrettably, the true identity of this car and its history has been forever clouded.
